The Gift Rape

What is Gift Rape? This is when you have a relative who unknowingly gets you something with the best intentions. These gifts can include and not limited to, badly made sweaters, crazy looking shirts, funny looking toys, weird and yet, strangely wondering if it is truly legal gifts. Welcome to the Yuletide Season of GIFT RAPE! As you sit down watching over and over of "A Christmas Story" and all the Christmas specials in one day deal. And you open the gifts that you hope are to be good, thinking that maybe your family got something that could be useful and fun, then again, you get family and more crazy weirdness. I have been the victim of Gift Rape, a few years ago, my dearly departed grandmother got me something while still living. As I opened this gift, my heart sank, she got me a navy blue seasonal sweater, when she knew full well I just didn't wear it. My mother and I stared in horror at it, while she had to take a call from Grandma....which was slightly nuts. I had to

Crib bans, make no real sense

Read this before you start to get bent out of shape: After Dozens of Deaths, drop-sided cribs banned . Okay, for a long time in our history of the nations, these cribs have appeared in day-care centers, in our homes as we have babies. Now we seem to have a slight problem. It appears these cribs are too dangerous for our children. This ban goes into affect in June and this requires parents and day-care centers, yes and event our trusty h ospitals to turn around and dispose of these things. Hulu and anime fans, war against anime purist conventions

Hulu.com debate Recently, I posted on a forum about watching an anime on Hulu.com, I was told by the moderator of the forum that it was an illegal activity. What doesn't make sense is that hulu is partially owned by Funimation and some of what is shown on the site is for testing and seeing what is popular. There are only a few anime series that will be shown on the site at any given time, so what's the deal? Hulu.com is not illegal, in fact it is a promotion site for anime fans and also promotes people to buy anime if they like it. It is not saying, download it or something like that. Consider if you will by blowing a whistle on hulu.com is kind of silly considering that most of the shows that are being shown on the site are and I will say this loudly, ARE owned still by their companies. They have the rights and also because of the views, it is a testing site in many ways to figuring what they should buy and what people will want. All things considered, I support hulu.com. Anim
