There words that come to my head
I have read many of the things said by many different people about how things should be in the world, but I have come to many conclusions that have said this to me: "stop thinking like it is one way or black and white."
There are times when people will walk around and I have seen it in many ways where they will say because they are this way, we have to all be that way. Considering what happened with Anne Rice saying she was going to quit Christianity. What I got from it was she wasn't going to quit believing in Jesus, she was going to quit thinking that there is only one way to go to him.
I'm a Wiccan and I have some of my Episcopal beliefs that say that there are as many ways to Jesus as there are sand by the ocean. There is no one way to get anywhere in the world. I look at the Tao-Te-Ching and I think a lot about what it means. Walking through the world and saying things are just one way or another, is just setting yourself up to become a bigger fool than you already are.

The tao that can be told
is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
is not the eternal Name.
The unnamable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin
of all particular things.
Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.
Yet mystery and manifestations
arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.
Darkness within darkness.
The gateway to all understanding.

Let's take a good look at what I copied from this site, "The Tao that can be told, Is not the Eternal Tao." There are many things that are said, even in the Bible, but they are not the only way to think about it. One has to think and act in away that might understand what is said in the eternal spectrum, life does not always say as you say it should be.

I do not know this writer, but some of what he says is making me think that he was hearing or thinking that something was going to happen that was beyond his control.
I think about Ian Maclom from Jurassic Park, "Life has away," there is going to be a different thing beyond anyone's control, people are the most amazing things in the world. They do evolve in many different ways, some of them take longer to learn things. It isn't as if Anne Rice was making the wrong choices, she made a choice that is meant for HER and no one else. What she says she does she has a reason for, it isn't as if she doesn't believe in a God or Jesus, it is the fact that people in some movements in Christianity take things way overboard and use their own hate or misunderstandings to guide their judgments.
When I heard that she left Christianity, I was not angry, not was I upset, I was just sitting at the computer thinking, "oh...that's something new," or "wow, that is a shock, she lost so two people in her life that she loved, what made her change."
As being on Facebook and admiring her for who and what she says, it isn't just the fact that she's a writer that I listen, its the fact she is no fool. She is educated and smart, she can see things in ways even I can't see. I would say it is logical for her to decide what is best for herself and it is up to her.
Remember the world is full of religions, not one is wrong, and not one is right, it is all dependent on the people who follow or research in it.
My family and friends have always said that it is up to the world to speak our minds.
other things become ugly.
When people see some things as good,
other things become bad.
Being and non-being create each other.
Difficult and easy support each other.
Long and short define each other.
High and low depend on each other.
Before and after follow each other.
Therefore the Master
acts without doing anything
and teaches without saying anything.
Things arise and she lets them come;
things disappear and she lets them go.
She has but doesn't possess,
acts but doesn't expect.
When her work is done, she forgets it.
That is why it lasts forever.

When someone reads this and starts to misinterpet it, I am going to tell you one thing, at least for once in your life! The world is not black and white, people who are Christians are not all haters of anything, they are still people.
Remember Beliefs are still optional in the world
