The Conventions and Convention Drama
I suggest anyone who goes to a convention of any kind to read this before you start packing your bags and start finding your money. Set yourself up for learning social skills 101 on how to deal with what is called Convention Drama. What is convention drama? 1. Convention Drama is the result of tensions gathered either by outside sources, the popularity of people and so forth. 2. Conventions can also mean close quarters with people whom you may not even like, but share the same hobbies with. 3. Emotionally unstable feelings of resentment and also feeling snubbed by people who are your peers who don't understand your hobby. (Mundanes outside of the convention who show up to belittle or often times just drink because its an excuse) 4. Finding out some friends of yours may have friends that you don't enjoy. 5. Relationship issues, sometimes finding you have a girlfriend or boyfriend at the convention that isn't altogether faithful. All of these factors do lead up drama, mostly ...
