You are the future.....maybe not!
I am thinking about this in some depth considering that high schoollers are becoming the next college students, now that 2011 will be drawing near. Yet we have people who are into Twilight, and some other Teeny-Bopper fads that are just about as helpful as getting a piece of your brain ripped out from the nasal cavity of your nose.
A note for Teens reading this and thinking that you can get anything you want, just because you're young and such. IT JUST DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. Sorry, but when you stand getting your diploma and you leave the 12 years of shelter existence and end up going to colleges or onto the work force you are about to learn a few hard learned lessons. There is no Edward going to sweep you off your feet and marry you off the bat, unless you are some icky little model slut who can't keep her knees together and sleeps around. There is no scholarships that pay for everything, you are going to somehow going to have to pay for things for yourself, no parents to fall back on, no money from a trust fund with the way this economy works.
You are basically going to be cut off and you have to live with it.
Another thing that you are going to learn, just because things happen in some overly romantized book or movie, it isn't going to happen to you, you are just another stupid girl walking the streets of life working and getting hurt like everyone else. There is no cool crowd, there is no clique that will save your ass or teach you social normals. Unless you go to a freaking Anime Convention or some other convention.
This is just a cold reminder that the world is cold and dark and no one is welcome in it at times. You are just going to have buckle up, ride the ride and just live with it, at least you get a choice in the matter.
Religion helps, NOPE! No way, all religions have the same amount of sense as the asshole who built the Jonestown and caused hundreds of people who killed themselves. There is a thing called a brain and you use it to think, if you are going to pray to something at least notice that your body moves, you breath, you walk, talk and do more in the bathroom than most people want to know. It doesn't help that idiots go around praying to some inanimate figure painted on a wall, or hanging off a lower case T that makes you wonder if sanity exists in the world.
Get a REAL hobby, going around like a freaking fan girl going, Edward this and Jacob that, it pisses people off. Sometimes people are stupid enough to think that much that some person on the street reading the same book will see it like you do.
Sorry to rant, but this coming out now, seeing how people go around in their lives being ignorant and hateful toward other people's hobbies and joys in the world
