The Furry Commentary on The Furry Raiders Part 1
Introduction
So let's get started on the Drama that was supposed to have ended in 2019, but seemed to see be around, I thought it had ended in 2016 or sooner than that, but screw it, Foxler doesn't know when to end this. Even with pending arrests and other issues, the Furry Raiders have been a thorn on the side of many in the Colorado Furry Community even outing some to the point of kicking them from groups on Facebook.
I have witnessed some of the awful actions, and while I can say, I will only put Foxler in the spotlight as he was the start of the drama in the first place. The Raiders were found I believe in 2007 with the best intentions at heart, but sadly, this was not the case I guess.
Many of the Furs who joined the Furry Raiders wanted to have a community events and feelings, they wanted a chance to do something meaningful. I know a friend of mine who I will not name joined with that intention, but found that even though she went to events and planned them, there were just something off about Foxler and his friends.
What I have seen and what I have heard was pretty bad, DogPatch on Twitter had kept up more than I do and while I tried, I could not find the entire stories. Though I got horror stories from former members, some of which I will not name and I have no business naming them in the first place. They said there was just some things that made it worse.
Foxler himself came off as racist, while he himself is mixed race, he was also making this group into his private group in some cases. He was later arrested for possession of CP (allegations) and also terrorist threats on conventions that refused to allow the Furry Raiders to host meets (allegations).
Though to my knowledge some of these threats never came to anything, though there was a chemical attack on one furry convention back I believe in 2016, the Raiders claimed no knowledge, I am certain they had nothing to do with it. (This is just my observation because Foxler was in state according to a friend of mine)
The fact is that many Furries tended to blame the Furry Raiders for some allegations of misconduct, while there were some who just could not be confirmed as anything more than being some kind of hate. I personally have and never wanted to be affirmed, while Foxler had asked if I wanted to join, I confirmed a negative as I had other things I was attending to.
I am as writing this still compiling information and this is just a Part 1 of 3 of the overviews of what happened and ongoing in the Colorado Furry Community which has attempted to move on. While it was not clear what exactly is happening, many are still attempting to stop the spread of The Furry Raiders from reaching anymore than just Twitter, FurAffinity, and a few other smaller sites. While I have found them on places like InkBunny or Deviant Art, many of these Furries have attempted to remove themselves from associating with Foxler and his friends.
While I have some inside knowledge it all second hand from my friend, a former member who has sense removed herself from their Telegram, Twitter, and Facebook contacts. I have however want to remind people reading this, I am in no way a member or ever been a member of the Furry Raiders, I am a Furry, but I am one of those Commenting ones who give a perspective of being an uninvolved party.
End of Rocky Mountain Fur Con or rather DEATH
Now as I have stated in years before I used to volunteer to this convention and while I left with my fiance, we have not had a great track record with the con chair or his staff. At the time, there was affairs that brought the Furry Raiders to the convention and it was when they got a block of rooms for the convention before they went on sale. This causing a room shortage at the hotel of which was hosting Rocky Mountain Fur Con, this also put the convention in hot water.
Coming to light that one of the founders had a conviction (alleged) and also shouldn't have had contact with children. He was also a member of the Fur Raiders in good standing, this caused friction among many who were both staff and volunteers.
While the actions themselves did not win favors, the Raiders did release some rooms and apologized, but this was not exactly accepted, in fact many Furries demanded that they remove themselves from the convention entirely. This was echoed by convention staff and security.
This was the last year the convention was ever to be in existence and was later dismantled by the fact that alleged mishandling of debt and other issues occurred. The Con Chair stepped down and several other problems started to show up.
Many in the community pointed their paws right at Foxler and his group, which by some account did not take responsibility for it. Honestly this is my opinion, this was not their faults entirely, partially it is, but the other parts were more internal and very shady. I attempted to keep my fiance who worked in security out of this, but he still barked about how if he hadn't left this wouldn't happened.
The arguments came from several online and offline sources and many of these sources have since been deleted or disproven. The truth is that Internally RMFC or Rocky Mountain Fur Con was on the road to dying, it was just a very slow death and trudge forward to be replaced by a more stable convention with a more stable staff.
While this had gone on alleged actions of one of the founders was highly suspect and it landed more issues, this also made this person be persona no grata in the future. For starters, I will not name names and honestly the occurrence was just the beginning.
So I'm ending that now, you can look forward to Part 2.
