Banned Books

Okay, do people even read these? Hell yeah, take a good look at your books on a book shelf and suddenly see Harry Potter, and many others. There are attacks daily on the literature we read and what we enjoy to read.

I remember going to Texas in 1998, I found out Harry Potter was banned at my library at school, as was Dean Kontz, and many others. I was not really told until a librarian under protest decided to check some of these so-called banned books out to me and a few friends.

So while we read about banned books this month of October, do yourself a favor and read some while you're at it. Harry Potter, Captain Underpants, and more. DO not stop there, do yourself a favor find out more about our country's banned books.

Personally, I don't believe in banning books, because even if the books are not valued by many, it is still a book of value. Yes, this includes Twilight, I still don't like that series. Keep the books alive, keep the works and writing alive, we are the future and books are imprints of the past.
