What is this world coming to?

A friend of mine did something good, he did something that saved a person, then the college he went to in turn pressed charges on him. He didn't break the law, he didn't do anything of the sort. What he did was find a rape victim, called the cops, did everything he could to help the girl, then the school decided because they couldn't find those responsible for the rape, to basically turn on the guy who simply tried to help.

This isn't uncommon, because rape is so common amongst this nation, that even if the person who helps is a guy, he who didn't commit the crime MUST be guilty. So college across the nation will turn on the student who did a good deed and file charges just to make themselves look good. What kind of freaking thing is this teaching college students?

Okay, go to college, get an education, and if someone is raped, just ignore it and sweep it under the freaking RUG! Great, good job, thank you Colleges of America! Makes it really worth to continue education at all because you would rather blame the student who actually decided to not do anything wrong and help people!

Here is my opinion, if you are a college student, if you feel the need to help someone or if you find someone who has been raped. Just report from your room anonymously, don't come forward if the person looks for you, just go unnoticed because if you even attempt to make contact with that person, you might be arrested or placed blame for what happened to this "said" person.

No matter how thankful this person is, don't come out of the shadows and say, "hey, I helped you" because you know what, the best is if they never knew someone like you exists, then if you do it again and identify yourself, you will be punished ultimately. There is no such thing as the good deed, it could turn into a negligence law suit on your ass.

The reason I know this, is I have a friend attending a college in Durango Colorado, he helped a woman who was raped, he called the cops, he made sure to do everything he could to save her, even had to perform CPR, even though he knew what it would do, he certification was out of date, but he couldn't stand by and let something bad happen to this girl. So he did this, then when the cops turned up, they told him good job, but due to some other past problems from someone online causing his reputation harm. The school decided to press negligence charges on him and he is now within 72 hours to leave his dorm or he will be arrested.

The girl who he saved didn't even come to his defense and since they couldn't find the freaking rapists who hurt her, then he was placed on the blame. So because he did something good and because he is a good person, he's to blame?

Like I said, to any college student, if some crime happens on your campus, do the right thing, just do everything without giving a name or your own address. NO FILING POLICE REPORTS
